    about us

We endeavor to create beautiful, memorable tabletop games with a focus on goals and outcomes that match the complexity and curiosity of real life. Our mission is for every player at the table to have something personal, engaging, or exciting they aim to achieve through play.

To accomplish this, we build unranked games that often use the following systems as a core part of play:

    • Multivictor: Any number of players can achieve their goals or win.

    • Victorless: There is no win state, but instead outcomes or moments players may pursue.

    meet the conjurers

Matthew is half of Lunarpunk Games—but definitely not half of an actual moon (allegedly). He's been making games for years and volunteering with game design groups like Break My Game. His first, full unranked game was Hollow. He likes napping with his sleepy greyhound Yeti, being an extremely loud extrovert, and being the evil villain player whenever he playtests games with Xoe.

Xoe is the other half of LunarPunk Games and probably mostly human. It has been designing unranked games for years, starting with Persuasion. Ever since it's been spreading the good word on unranked design. It also helps others with digital playtesting on Screentop. Can frequently be spotted acting like a responsible parent to its child, hiding from the spotlight its created, and being a big softy in games whenever it's permitted.
