Hermit Hustle
As the tide recedes, a sparkling, spacious shell is left on shore. A handful of hermit crabs gather round, jostling for position, all eager to upgrade their abode. Thus begins the Hermit Hustle . . .

How do you play?
Hermit Hustle is inspired by a real-life phenomenon where hermit crabs line up and swap shells. Play as a family of hermit crabs hoping to find some fancy new shells and achieve their crab dreams.
β
Each round, two new shells wash up on shore. Select a crab to send out for a shell upgrade. Once each player has chosen, reveal your cards, line up in size order, and move into a larger shell. Play cards strategically to build a hand of shells that will achieve your crab dreams, such as being the largest, shiniest, or most orderly family of hermit crabs.

Meet the Designer, Eric Dittmore!β
Eric Dittmore is a game designer with a special interest in considering how player goals motivate their actions. He's been greatly inspired by the mission of Lunarpunk to explore game designs that do not provide a single, winner-take-all victor, as is reflected in his first two games, Adulting and Hermit Hustle. When not designing games, Eric enjoys being a goofy middle school English teacher, hanging out with is adorable nephew, and exploring New York with his beautiful wife.
